Badke walks the novice researcher through each stage of the information seeking process — from crafting a good research question and designing a search to selecting and using appropriate resources. Some good information, but I found the flippant snarky tone a bit inappropriate for a reference text. With the information provided here, research doesn't have to be frustrating or boring.
However, for students, especially those based in US, where almost every subject needs the thesis to pass, it's brilliant. Anyone else - read this if you want to better understand the research process and your place in it. With the subtitle "Finding your way through the information fog" Badke is addressing every student, patron, church member, family member, etc who I've talked to about finding and utilizing information either for academic or personal research.
Badke's strategies present a sure path through the amazing and complex new world of information. Gives lots of ideas a suggestions for examples.

This, of course, is not a new insight. Thus this textbook is a bit of a revelation to me, even after many years at university!
